Our Play It Forward program is designed to extend the life of our handcrafted pieces while supporting organizations that serve our communities. As a thank-you for donating your gently used Bergwood items, we’ll send you 10% off your next purchase.

How It Works

1. Donate to a Recognized Organization

Find a new home for your Bergwood product by donating it to an organization that can put it to good use. This could be:

  • Nonprofits like Goodwill or The Salvation Army
  • Schools, daycare centers, or after-school programs
  • Shelters, community-based groups, or places of worship
  • Children’s hospitals or similar charities

Donating to family and friends is great, but only donations to recognized organizations qualify for the discount.

2. Make Sure Your Item Is in Good Condition

We want your donation to bring joy to its next owner! Your item should be in gently used condition, fully functional, and free of major damage,

3. Provide Proof of Donation

Once you’ve donated, send us one of the following:

  • A receipt from the organization, showing the donation date and item description.
  • A photo of the item at the donation site, including the organization’s name or location.


How to Get Your Bergwood Gift Card

1. Submit Your Proof

You can submit your proof of donation in two easy ways:

  • Upload it via our online form on this page.
  • Email us at playitforward@bergwoodco.com. Be sure to include your name, email address, and proof of donation so we can process your discount quickly!

2. Receive Your e-Gift Card

We’ll verify your submission (please allow 48 hours) and email you your gift card. Your gift card can be used right away on any Bergwood product you choose.


A Few Important Notes

We may need to verify details or decline discounts for ineligible donations.

Discounts can’t be combined with other promotions or offers.

Most importantly - you’re making a real impact! Your donation helps a family, reduces waste, and supports a more sustainable future.
